18 blue eyes

New Year's Goal: To regularly blog! I finally got a new camera for Christmas. Can I actually do a blog with cool pictures this year? Well, I've gotta get a system for the pictures part, but I guess I shouldn't let that stop me from writing!

Note: No pictures in this post. 'Cept the one that I took for the Christmas card in 15 degree weather. See it below.

We are an LDS homeschooling family of 9 and between us, that makes 18 blue eyes. With 7 children ranging in age from 8 months to 17, life is pretty crazy around here. I hope to capture some of our wild, fun times as well as daily life (which really might just be the same thing.)

Mom - That's me. I love being a mom and homemaker, although I am certainly always on the lookout for improving these skills! I love to read, research & study.

Dad - My wonderful husband who provides for us and keeps us laughing. And these are our cookies:

Chocolate Chip - 17 year old boy who has great study skills and is a great example to all his younger siblings.

Pepparkakor - 15 year old girl who is incredibly competent and wants to travel. (FYI, pepparkakor is Swedish thin ginger cookies)

Oatmeal - 10 year old boy who loves sports, legos, and strangely enough, homemade oatmeal.

Sugar - 8 year old girl who is sweet as can be and has such a mother heart that she wants to have 30 kids when she grows up.

Spice - 6 year old girl who is determined as can be and has so much going on in her head that she can't stand still.

Snickerdoodle- 3 year old boy who is probably the funniest kid I've ever known.

Peanut butter - 8month old girl who is a super sweet go-getter.
